Lazio's third airport
The Committee for Latina Airport's observation to the Strategic Environmental Assessment consultation on Italy's National Airports Plan 2026-2035 (SEA procedure no. 8657, Ministry for the Environment).

What we ask
- That the SEA identify, assess and compare the reasonable alternatives for the location of Lazio's third airport — Latina, Frosinone, Viterbo, the zero option — as required by Directive 2001/42/EC.
- A comparative feasibility study, on an equal-budget basis and with 100% of the technical work made public, with the results themselves put out to consultation.
- Recognition that, on intermodality (~40 min from Rome by shuttle + Intercity), the reuse of an already-existing site and lower environmental impact, Latina Airport is today the best choice for Lazio's third airport.
The document is addressed to the Ministry for the Environment (MASE) (EIA-SEA Commission) and copied to ENAC, MIT, ENAV, the Air Force, the Lazio Region, the City and Province of Latina, the Transport Committees of the Chamber and Senate, and the Frosinone-Latina Chamber of Commerce.
